Design Consultation

This can be anything from an in-person conversation, a phone call, emails, FaceTime, zoom meeting, or whatever works best for you. If you’re local, on-site consults will give you the greatest benefit. The goal is to see what it is your after and help create an understanding of how permaculture can get you there while helping our planet and increasing your yield. Typically an hour of your time. Maybe you have ideas and just need help with designing and building. Maybe you have a completely blank slate and are unsure where to start. I’m here to work with you through a great system of principles that expands far beyond the soil. In advocating for global regeneration, we understand that life is the result of cooperative biodiverse living systems. Reductionist thinking will not solve the problems we are facing, so let’s dream big. Let’s get together and talk about how we can actualize our best intentions for mother earth and the human race.

Permaculture Design and Implementation

This is where we use knowledge of permaculture, soil building, polyculture guilds, earthworks, eco regions, microclimates, nutrition, organic gardening, water harvesting, and regenerative agriculture in harmony with the natural world to come up with a conscious design. Through the principles of permaculture, we will create an agriculturally productive system of great organic diversity, stability, and resilience. The goal is more than sustainability, but to regenerate the soil and your health as well.

Together, we will strive to mimic natural ecosystems that produce high yields. We will seek to close loops where energy is wasted rather than thoughtfully given as many purposes as it can.

Through this process we develop and conduct the harmonious integration of the landscape, the soil, the plants, and living creatures, with the people they have always provided with food, energy, shelter and other material needs in a more sustainable and regenerative way.

Education/Workshops/Tours

Here at Ancient Origins, we don’t just want to design, we want to be involved and strive to teach the benefits that permaculture and local scale regenerative agriculture can have on community health. Whether it is a residential design, a large scale agriculture project, an environmental mitigation issue, or a community garden… We want you to be a part of the process of regenerating our earth. We want to teach you permaculture as well. We are happy to answer questions, but even happier to work together with you and your family to actualize positive change for people and planet.

We will walk you through polyculture guilds, water harvesting, soil testing, earthworks, composting, seed saving, harvesting, pruining, succession planting, seasonal garden tasks, cold season growing, building your own greenhouse, animal care, rewilding, restoring harmony with native plants and critters, food preservation, and more. We even will bring the seeds, plants, or trees right to your site and start with the basics of planting.

At Ancient Origins, we aren’t reinventing the wheel, but we reach out to foster life. Our passion is to build a community and culture that will ensure that you and the land you share will be on your way to a resilient and regenerative life.
